A veritable Gloucestershire institution since 1975, the William’s deli brings together some of the finest local produce together with cheese, charcuterie, olive oils, vinegars and antipasti from all over Europe and beyond.
Jonathan Crump farms over 60 native breed Gloucester cows to bring us his celebrated Single and Double Gloucester. We’re delighted to now be receiving a daily delivery of Sourdough from the excellent Salt Bakehouse in Stonehouse and our famous Taramasalata is handmade in a Smokery in Woodchester. Chalk Stream Trout is one of our newest suppliers, bringing us sustainable rainbow trout from the purest chalk stream rivers of Hampshire – the Test and Itchen. Our trusted game supplier is based in Fairford and keeps us stocked with pheasant, partridge, mallard and diced venison throughout the winter months, while local free-range Cotswold chickens are available all year.
From further afield, from France we have Toulouse sausages, quail, sweet Cevennes onions and farmhouse paté; from Italy, pesto, pancetta, Truffle Parma ham and fresh pasta; from Spain chorizo, gazpacho, Cecina, Serrano & Iberico de Bellota ham.

Hampers & Vouchers
We have an extensive range of cheeses, all cut by hand to order. As well as a large selection from France (Brie de Meaux, Delice de Cremier, Chaumes, Vignotte, Roquefort, Comté, Beaufort), Italy (Dolcelatte, Cambozola, Buffalo Mozzarella) and elsewhere in Europe (Manchego, Gruyere, Feta), we also stock a number of local cheeses including Johnathan Crump’s famous handmade Single and Double Gloucester, Wookey Hole cheddar and Cheddar Gorge and, from further afield in the UK, Colston Basset Stilton, Cornish Yarg, Rachel’s goat’s cheese and Ticklemore.
A huge selection of cheese biscuits and crackers is complemented by chutneys, quince jelly, Truffle honey and various preserved fruits for cheese.
All of our cheeses are hand-cut on site to your exact requirements. We also sell many whole cheeses at Christmas or for cheese wedding cakes. Do call us with your requirements.
In addition, expect to find a vast range of fresh chilled produce in the shop – cooking chorizo and pancetta, gazpacho, smoked salmon and blinis, crème fraiche, taramasalata, pesto, hummus, whole hams and Parma hams, salamis, large bowls of fresh olives, Cotswold chickens and French quail, Toulouse sausages and a range of patés and terrines – to name a few.

Straight out of the oven, our fresh baguettes are renowned about town. Choose anything from the delicatessen to fill them with – freshly sliced Parma Ham, Loch Fyne smoked salmon, coronation chicken, freshly made crayfish mayonnaise or just a simple cheese and salad. To avoid any waiting time, feel free to call us in the morning with your order.
Or go for one of our healthy homemade salads, crammed full with superfoods such as quinoa, beetroot, pomegranate, courgette and a whole range of nuts, seeds and fresh herbs.
We have recently installed a brand new barista coffee machine and are now offering coffees to take away. We have partnered with Ritual Coffee to bring you a delicious ethically grown blend, hand-roasted in small batches in the Cotswolds, with a commitment to zero landfill.
