Restaurant in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire
Visiting the Cotswolds
The thriving small town of Nailsworth, voted by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in Britain, is an ideal place to base yourself. Graced with a wide variety of artisan shops and boutiques, including the famous Hobbs House Bakery, James Lear of Arundel, Domestic Science and the Yellow-Lighted bookshop, it also had a wide range of nearby hotel and bed and breakfast accommodation.
Sitting just four miles South of Stroud at the union of two valleys, Nailsworth is famous for its wool and cloth trade. Many of the old mills, such as the Dunkirk Mill Centre, can be visited and others have been sympathetically converted to new uses such as restaurants, hotels and luxury housing.
If you’re looking to stay nearby, Wild Garlic Rooms and Egpyt Mill have rooms in town. The excellent Burleigh Court Hotel and the Ragged Cot are a short distance away. For property rental, we can recommend Bolthole Retreats
